Tapped operates in each APAC market under a licence held by a local legal entity, not a global holding company. This page lists every active licence, the regulator that issued it, and the scheme registrations that let us operate as an acquirer on your merchants’ behalf.

Why this matters. In payments, the entity that holds the acquiring licence bears the risk, faces the regulator, and contracts with the card schemes. When a global platform claims coverage in a market through a third-party sponsor, two things follow: you pay for their margin on top of yours, and you inherit their regulator risk without their control. Tapped chose the harder path, hold the licence ourselves in every market we care about, because it’s the only way to give customers predictable pricing and reliable uptime.
