How you make money. Your platform pays Tapped 2.99% + $0.07 per tap, then charges your sub-merchants 0.5–1% on top. The spread is yours. We publish the rate; you keep the margin; the sub-merchant sees one clean price. No monthly SaaS fees on either side.

Rates by market

One rate. Nine live markets. No surprises.

We charge the same flat 2.99% + $0.07 per tap in every market. You don't have to run different unit economics for Jakarta versus Tokyo, and neither do your sub-merchants. Every market below is live, certified, and ready to receive production traffic.

No SaaS Fees

Usage-based. Only.

Payments infrastructure has gotten used to double-dipping, a processing rate and a SaaS subscription on top. We don't. If your platform doesn't process a tap this month, you don't owe us anything. Ever.

The Platform plan is month-to-month, cancel any time, for any reason, without fees or penalty. Enterprise is an annual commitment because the work we do (dedicated BINs, private kernels, custom filings) takes months to set up; the economics are still pay-as-you-go on volume.

Pricing questions, answered.

Most of what founders ask us in the first call is about economics, how you make money, what we take, what happens at scale. If yours isn't here, email hello@tapped.cc.

Are there any monthly SaaS fees?+
No. Not a platform fee, not a seat fee, not a setup fee. We only charge when a tap settles. Payments infrastructure that double-dips with a processing rate and a SaaS subscription is an industry habit we chose not to adopt, if you don't process this month, you owe us nothing.
Is there a contract lock-in?+
The Platform plan is strictly month-to-month, cancel any time, for any reason, without fees or penalty. Enterprise is annual, because dedicated BINs, private kernels, and custom regulator filings take months to set up and we can't run those at-cost on a 30-day commitment. The economics remain usage-based either way.
Why one flat rate across all nine markets?+
Because platforms want predictable unit economics, not nine different rate cards to reconcile. We absorb the regional cost variance on our side so your pricing page can quote one number to every sub-merchant, everywhere. Interchange++ leaks complexity into your finance team, your statements, and your support queue. We'd rather carry that.
How much of the rate is Tapped's margin?+
Enough to run a regulated payments business and keep investing in coverage, and small enough that you have real room to mark up on top. We don't publish the exact split because merchants don't pay margins, they pay rates, and a published margin invites negotiations that eat into your own room to price. At Enterprise volume, we'll share the breakdown under NDA.
Can I mark up more than 1%?+
Yes. Our 0.5–1% suggestion is the sweet spot where your platform is profitable and your sub-merchants still see a competitive all-in rate versus Stripe / Adyen. Some platforms in underserved verticals (field services, auto repair) charge 1.5% and still win on convenience. Your call.
Is the $0.07 per-tap fee passed through or margin?+
It's a mix: the scheme and authorisation networks charge a per-transaction fee that we cover within that $0.07. At Enterprise volume it often drops or becomes pure pass-through.
Is Premium Support a separate plan?+
No, it's an optional add-on available on either the Platform or Enterprise plan. On Platform it's +0.05% per tap and you can add or remove it from the dashboard; on Enterprise it's priced into your contract. Both keep the same usage-based logic as the rest of the product.
When does it make sense to move to Enterprise?+
When your annualised processed volume clears USD 250M, or when you need a dedicated BIN in your name, private kernel forks, customer-managed keys, or data residency outside Singapore. Most platforms happily stay on Platform until the first condition.
What if a market isn't yet live?+
You can start with an adjacent PSP via Tapped Onboard (Stripe, Adyen, Airwallex) using the same sub-merchant record, and route to Tapped when we go live in that market. Zero merchant re-onboarding. See Tapped Onboard for the details.
Can we invoice sub-merchants directly?+
Yes. Platforms on Tapped keep the merchant relationship, the merchant statement, and the branded experience. Tapped is invisible to the end merchant unless you want it surfaced.
